Taking a Break

This week I decided to take a break from learning Shallow and learn something a little less difficult, so I chose Stupid Boy by Keith Urban. The only two resources I used for this were my brother who taught me some of the pull-offs and hammer-ons and this video by Keith Urban himself. I really enjoyed learning this although it was EXTREMELY time-consuming. Part of the reason it took me so long to do this post is because of how difficult it was to get a half decent video of me doing a version of this song. Another cool thing I learned about this song is that it requires you to use what’s called a capo. If you read my previous blog post about guitar terminology you would have read what a capo is used for. If you didn’t, a capo is essentially a tool that guitarists use to bring the tune up an octave. This song requires the capo to be on the first fret if you want to play it in the same tune as Keith Urban. So here is a version of me doing it. Let me know what you think:
